Thanking God for EVERYTHING!
Of all the holidays to celebrate, Thanksgiving is by far my favorite. I love the reminder of the abundance of tangible and intangible blessings in our lives that can be lifted as praises to God. Opening ourselves up to the space of a thankful heart allows us to shift our attitude to one of gratitude and brings joy to both God as well as ourselves. Thankful hearts can protect us from worries and negative thinking. Prayers of thanksgiving awaken our hearts to the abundance of blessings that God showers on us each day.
We teach our children to say thank you, but this month we will be going deeper on what it means to thank God with our WHOLE heart. With a bubble theme this month, you might say that we will be "bubbling over" with thankfulness to God.

If your child can, they can sing it back to you adding in mom or dad or use a sibling or even pet's name!

In Prayer...
Dear God, thank you for your ever faithfulness and for your love. Thank you for your promises to always be with us. We also thank you for all that you have given us. We thank you for (allow you and your child to say thank you for people and things). We thank you especially for [child's name] and all the love that you have put in [his/her] heart. We are so grateful for [his/her] life and we thank you for this special gift. Help us to always thank you with our whole heart.
In Jesus’ name, amen.”

A Thankful Harvest Snack
If I pick up a marshmallow, I say "thank you God for otters" because marshmallows represent animals.
