May It Be of Benefit

Hello Families,

With just 2 weeks left before Spring Break, I want to remind everyone how quickly this last trimester of school will pass. Remember, it's what we do every day, consistently, that makes a difference. After meeting with teachers a couple of weeks ago (or receiving students' report cards), we may have been motivated to set some goals for academic growth. Many students have experienced learning loss or slow growth because of the disruption that Covid has caused. Many families may have agreed that they would turn off the TV earlier and institute a half-hour of reading time nightly. Maybe your child's needs are more in the area of math and you decided to run through addition, subtraction, or multiplication flashcards each night for 10 minutes. Whatever goals and action plan you set up, do not grow weary and forget about them. Check-in with your family and recommit to finishing strong. 30 minutes nightly of reading or 10 minutes nightly of flashcards makes the difference. It will be June before we know it. Finish strong!

With gratitude,

Mrs. Gold
