From Digital Theatre +
Hello everyone,
It was wonderful to meet with you all this afternoon.
Here is a recording of the session.
I have attached the slides we went through, for you and your teachers to reference. I have also attached a theatre specific slideshow. Please forward this email to your teachers, so they have access to both.
I'd appreciate it if you could fill out this feedback form to let me know how to session went.
Good luck with this school year, and hopefully we will get all of the SSO access issues figured out soon. I look forward to hearing from you all this year, please reach out with anything I can help with!
Thank you,
Vanessa
Gumdrop ebooks
In addition, I have worked with Gumdrop to separate the books from elementary and secondary. The ones that were borderline (like the sixth-grade Ancient Civs Books) we put into secondary. In library.fyi, elementary schools should see a cayboces passthrough login and secondary should see cayboces2 passthrough login. But the student will always just need books. If you have created your own landing page in library.fyi, you may need to add Gumdrop ebooks to see them.

Overdrive now has On-Demand Class Sets
With On-Demand Class Sets, OverDrive Education’s new curriculum-centered lending model, you can add affordable titles to your collection without the need to assign copies to students. This flexible option lets you allocate budget for required classroom reading even when classes and rosters are not finalized.
This new model is in the Class Sets section of the Shoptab in OverDrive Marketplace, where most titles available as assigned 3-month Class Sets are now available as On-Demand Class Sets. After purchase, you can curate these titles for easy discovery, reserve and bundle them to provide access to specific groups of students, or simply reserve them until you need them.
When students borrow On-Demand Class Set titles in Sora, the checkouts appear under “Assignments” on Sora’s Home tab for 90 days. These titles cannot be returned early, so you can be confident students will have access to the books they need for classroom learning.
Additional notes:
- You will receive an email when an On-Demand Class Set title has five or fewer checkouts remaining so you can purchase additional copies as necessary.
- On-Demand Class Sets appear in the Assignments section of the student dashboard in Marketplace. Additionally, a new Title ID filter in the student dashboard allows for easier data management.
- Educators can use On-Demand Class Set copies for Title Assignments should the need arise to assign a copy to a specific student.
