May 8th -24th

Learning at Home Over the Summer

  • Over the summer your child will access to Lexia. The website for that is Password for every student is read. We recommend 15 minutes daily
  • Continue to practice sight words and read nightly


  • Practicing CVC words
  • Segmenting and blending words
  • Practicing writing for a sustained time
  • Reading with fluency
  • Answering comprehension questions after reading books independently


  • Working on math fluency up to 5 for addition and subtraction
  • Recognizing numbers 0-30
  • Writing numbers to 30
  • Completing number activities using the 100 hundred chart

Social Studies

  • Discussing the importance of jobs and all the different types


  • Discussing animal life cycles
  • Learning about the plant life cycle and labeling the parts of a plant
  • Discussing about the different activities in the seasons of spring and summer

  • May 10th -12th -Student shopping at the Book Fair
  • May 11th -Spring Picnic-2nd and 3rd grade musical/K-5 Art Fair
  • May 15th -Boone Daze activities during the school day
  • May 18th -BFF meeting @ 6 pm
  • May 22nd -Field Day and Kindergarten roundup for future kindergartners attending in the 2017-2018 school year
  • May 23rd-Kindergarten field trip @ Loose Park from 10:00 am-12 pm
  • May 24th -Award Assembly, K-4th grade @ 9:30 am

The kindergarten teachers would like to give a shout out to our amazing parents. Thank you for your support and trusting us with your child's education everyday. We enjoyed having great classes this year. We know that your student will continue to grow and learn next year in 1st grade. Thanks again for all the wonderful gifts during Teacher appreciation week.
