School Wide Information
Parent Presentation- IUSD, in collaboration with OCDE, will be providing zoom presentations throughout the spring. They will cover topics and challenges that students and families face in relation to school-based mental health. Join us in the discussion! The details for the third workshop of the series are below along with the registration link.
What: Presentation for IUSD Families: “No Filter: Digital health and student relationships with technology”
Who: IUSD Counselors in collaboration with OCDE School Based Mental Health Providers
When: Thursday, March 23rd, 2023 | 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

CAASP Testing- Each spring, students in grades 3-8 and 11 participate in the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) to provide information about their skills in English-language arts/literacy (ELA), mathematics, and science. These computer-based assessments reflect California’s rigorous academic standards, and measure students’ ability to write clearly, think critically, and solve problems—skills needed for success in college or career. Multicultural Night- We will be hosting an IVA Multicultural Night on Friday, March 24 from 5:00-7:00PM at Creekside Education Center. Join us for a night of learning about different cultures that represent our students by visiting booths, playing games, and watching cultural performances.
Sign up to get involved by signing up for a booth or participating in the cultural talent show. If you would like to participate, submit your Interest Google Form by Monday, March 6. If you have any questions, you can send an email to Brianna Nguyen, IVA Activities Director at briannanguyen@iusd.org.
Abilities Awareness Event and Community Resource Fair- Join us Wednesday, March 15th from 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Northwood High School. This event is intended to bring all of us together including community resources that support inclusive practices in Irvine to celebrate, connect, and inform. Additionally, the event will include music, performances, an art gallery, and more. Food will be available for purchase via food trucks.

Irvine Junior Games- Registration is open for the Irvine Junior Games track meet. The Junior Games will be held Sunday, May 7th at Irvine Stadium. Families who are interested simply need to go to https://irvinechildrensfund.org/irvine-junior-games/ and sign up. Registrations are limited and close on March 17th – the sooner you register the better! For those who don’t know, the Irvine Junior Games are a one-day track and field event for 4th-8th grade IUSD students On May 7th. Proceeds from registrations go to the Irvine Children’s Fund. ASB Applications are now out! Click here to review the ASB Info Meeting Slides. You can learn about the ASB positions for the 2023/24 school year here. Elected position applications are due on Monday, March 20. Interview position applications are due Friday, March 31. State Seal of Biliteracy- Seniors interested in earning the State Seal of Biliteracy please click HERE to fill out the form to be considered.
Senior Trip- Please click HERE for all the information regarding the Senior Trip to Universal Studios on Thursday, May 18, 2023. If you are interested in participating please fill out this permission slip and bring it with you when you register and pay in person at Creekside Education Center.

IUCPTA Scholarship- The scholarship will go to graduating seniors and will be used towards continued education after graduation. Recipients must attend an accredited college/university, community college, trade or technical school within the first year following high school graduation.Qualifications: This scholarship recognizes students who are PTSA members and whom have performed service activities inside and outside of school.

Trimester Grades- Parent portal is now open for parents and students to view grades. Parents will log on to their portal account at https://my.iusd.org
