What Will We Be Learning This Week?
Math
Our decimal unit has begun. Students have learned to read and write decimals and show how to represent decimals in a visual form. We have discussed that decimals are, like fractions, a part of a whole. They are numbers that fall between whole numbers on a number line. In the coming week, students will be comparing decimals, ordering decimals and adding/subtracting decimals.
Reminder: Students are encouraged to make corrections on math assignments. If a student correctly fixes his/her mistakes on ANY math assignment, he/she will earn 1/2 points back. Turn an 80% into a 90% while you learn from your mistakes!
Science
Students are busy observing and recording the properties of minerals in their Mineral Field Guides. This week, students have observed the luster and hardness of minerals.
Language Arts
We will continue reading the same books in our guided reading books where we will continue analyzing the main characters.
Social Studies
We will not be completing an NC Studies Weekly assignment this week. Any missing NC Studies Weekly assignments are due by this Monday, March 25 for credit.
