Bearcat Brief

November 8 2019

Notes from Niki

Good luck to all of the Bearcat athletes and coaches competing in state-level competition this weekend. I know how much time and effort you coaches have put into the season (and off-season). We are all proud of your work!

Monday is Veteran's Day and the high school will be having their breakfast. Please make sure if you park in the front parking lot that you park as close to the bus barn as possible so they can have plenty of spots for visitors at the high school. High school students will be parking in our lot and by Central Office.

Tara has shared a "Blue & White Nigh Dessert Sign-Up" with us all on Google Drive. Thank you, so much, to those of you who have already signed up to bring something. There is 1 more slot left for our building. This is a fairly simple way to make a contribution.

Blue and White Night Grant Applications are due Friday, November 22. Please think about making a request. It can be something as small as good headphones for your classroom or computer mice. You might also consider furniture, manipulatives, or implements to help increase student engagement.

Grand Canyon University will be here on Tuesday during all lunch shifts to do a "lunch and learn." They have a variety of programs so classified staff is welcome as well. They will give you free lunch if you listen to them talk a little bit about their programs. They can do a transcript evaluation for you and will talk about scholarships and grants. I forwarded an email to you on Thursday that had all of the information.
