Retreat is August 5th and the September meetings are 9/11 (Secondary) and 9/9 (Elementary).

LPS Library Media Team Norms

  • Approach problems with a solution-oriented mentality.

  • Reflect on your own practice (what did and didn’t work) and share ideas that move the group forward.

  • Celebrate the team’s successes.

  • Work as a district program, even while advocating for each student and library.

  • Use active listening when others are speaking; do not interrupt.

  • Include everyone when sharing and collaborating; no side conversations.

  • Library Media district-level and building-level communication will be distributed quarterly to promote and inform students, parents, community, and staff about the library media program.

  • Support the instructional integration of digital tools with high-quality professional development.
  • Assessment data aligned to the library media curriculum will be used to improve student achievement.
