MDHHS QUARANTINE UPDATES
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has extended the time people must quarantine after COVID-19 exposure to 14 days "due to increasing case rate and variant spread." Direct contacts must quarantine at home and monitor themselves for symptoms after exposure to an infected individual.
Click here to read the details from the MDHHS.
(Page 13 of the document refers to the changes in quarantining guidelines for direct contacts.)
UPDATED: Covid-19 Quarantine Recommendations for ALL Travel
If your family has traveled internationally or domestically, please note that a 7-day quarantine AND a negative COVID test are recommended before a student may return to school. (Or the student must quarantine for a full 10 days if you choose not to get them tested.) This is per CDC guidelines: CDC’s updated travel guidelines.
Frequently Asked Questions: Covid-19 Quarantines
When positive student or staff cases are reported to us, we often have to quarantine members of our Eagles Community. When this occurs, we always get many questions regarding how we determine who gets quarantined and what the process is. I wanted to take a moment to answer some of those frequently asked questions below to make sure all of our families are on the same page. Please keep in mind that the Macomb County Health Department directs all of our protocols. As of April 8th, we will follow the 14 day quarantine set up by Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
Please click HERE to learn more.
School Dress Code Reminders
While it's still a bit inconsistent, the weather does seem to be getting warmer and more spring-like. This is a good time to remind our families about how to dress for school success. While we want to respect students' individual styles, we also need to make sure that we are maintaining a school environment that allows our focus to remain on learning.
Please remind your Eagles to keep the following in mind as they dress for school:
- Undergarments should not be visible
- Shorts/skirts need to be about index fingertip length or longer.
- Stomachs must be covered.
- Shirts should not be revealing. Straps should be about 3-fingers wide.
- Flip flops are unsafe on the playground. Sandals may be worn but should have heel straps.
For more information about specific guidelines for our FPS Dress Code, please see our Fraser Public Schools Code of Conduct.
State Testing Updates for F2F Students
Each spring, the State of Michigan and the US Department of Education (USDE) require us to assess students in certain subject areas through the M-STEP, PSAT and SAT. The assessments provide the district with a snapshot of student achievement at the state, district, and building levels. Individual student results will also be shared with parents.
The assessment dates for in-person students are as follows:
5th Grade
Tuesday, April 20: Science M-Step
Thursday, April 22: Social Studies M-Step
6th Grade
Tuesday, April 27: Math M-Step
Thursday, April 29: ELA M-Step
4th Grade
Tuesday, May 4: Math M-Step
Thursday, May 6: ELA M-Step
3rd Grade

Please ensure that your child is well rested on their testing day. They should come to school with a fully charged iPad and headphones/ear buds, if they have them.
Please note- We have makeup days built into our testing schedule, so if your child is exhibiting any symptoms of illness on their testing day- be sure to keep them home.
This section is dedicated to our virtual learners. Please find important information for you and your child.
Next Virtual Learning Materials Pick-Up Date
- Friday, April 30
- Friday, May 14
We wanted to take the opportunity to recognize some of the positive things that we notice our virtual Eagles doing. In-Person learners will be celebrated monthly.
We're SO PROUD of all of our Eagles! Special shout outs to:
Kierstyn Distefano (6th): Kierstyn is doing an amazing job managing our virtual schedule and a joy to have in our class. She always helps to bring a smile to our GoToMeeting and loves to share and participate when she can. Thank You Kierstyn! - Mrs. Loveridge
Emma Handran (6th): Emma's sense of humor and willingness to be the one to ask the hard questions in class make each day a joy to tune in. I love when students like Emma help to move the class along so it is not just a one sided conversation from the teacher on screen. Emma is very bright and is more than willing to take the risks to make sure that she is learning the material. I am so proud of you young lady! - Mrs. Loveridge
Liliana Ocelnik (6th): Liliana is a young woman of many talents. She is incredibly bright in her classwork and has proven that over and over on assignments, class discussions and tasks. She is also an accomplished guitarist who is not afraid to share a few lines of a song she is working on after class. Her true passion is Anime and Manga stories in which she can (and will) talk for hours about if you let her. But her attention to detail in the stories and characters can not be beat. My money is on her for any jeopardy anime episode! - Mrs. Loveridge
Laya Bass (1st): Laya is doing awesome with virtual learning in 1st grade. She consistently attends virtual meetings and and completes all of Seesaw work with her best effort. She is always willing to participate, is kind and respectful! - Mrs. Gray
Timothy Middleton (5th): Timmy has been attending every class during virtual learning. He is always trying his best, participating successfully and adding fun to our classroom every single day. Keep up the great work! - Ms. Taylor
