Moorhead Ambassadors

Each year our campus selects one educator, one student, and one paraprofessional who are deserving of the Conroe ISD Ambassador Award.

I am so proud to announce that our Conroe ISD Ambassador Award winners were recognized by school board president, Skeeter Hubert, and our Superintendent, Dr. Curtis Null!

Teacher winner - Sherry Stewart
Paraprofessional winner - Maria Granados
Student winner - Isabella Santana

Each award recipient had family members present to surprise them! It was a great experience!

A Note from our librarian

All library books are due!

Attendance

Your child’s attendance is critical to their success! Students are more likely to succeed in academics when they attend school consistently. It’s difficult for the teacher and the class to build their skills and progress if a large number of students are frequently absent. Texas State law requires that students be present at least 90 percent of the days a class is offered. An action may be filed in court if a student misses 10 or more days within a six month period. Please make sure to send your child to school each and every day! Poor attendance could be a reason that your child is retained.

Required Immunizations for Incoming Seventh Graders

If you are a parent or guardian of an incoming seventh grader of 2023-2024, please be aware Texas state law requires all students to have a State of Texas Moral/Religious exemption form OR paperwork indicating receipt of the flowing immunizations before they can begin the first day of school:

Considerations if Your Child is Bringing AIRPODS to School

Airpods, and similar devices, are popular accessories for teens all over the country. They are small, discreet, and very easily lost or stolen. Trying to track down Airpods is something we do every day. Although we try very hard, we cannot magically make them reappear. If you are providing these very expensive and small devices for your child, you are encouraged to make sure you feel comfortable with your child’s ability to keep up with them realizing these are the most difficult item to recover of all if lost or stolen.

Anonymous Alerts

Conroe ISD will continue implementation of the Anonymous Alerts – anti bullying app. Anonymous Alerts is a patented student anti-bullying app that helps combat bullying and other negative activity in schools by empowering students to come forward to help themselves and other students. Social and peer pressures are some of the hardest obstacles for students to overcome, now they can report bullying and safety issues quickly using Anonymous Alerts mobile app.

Students or parents in the school community can anonymously submit alerts about suspicious activity, safety threats, bullying, alcohol or drug use, harassment, family issues, school shooter, campus safety concerns, and self-harm issues to school administrators or counselors. The app is free from the Apple Store, Google Play store, and the Chrome store. Students will still have the option to call Kid Chat to report anything at 1-800-kid-chat.
