Hopes and Dreams for the Future - Art Show by the SCCOE
With the Presidential Inauguration and the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday at the end of January, we think it is a great time to ask students to share their thoughts about the world ahead of us. As a result, the SCCOE is asking students to create a piece of art that clearly addresses the theme: Hopes and Dreams for the Future.
Submissions are due January 6, 2021, selected pieces will be highlighted on the SCCOE website; as well as, at their Power of Democracy virtual event at the end of January. For more information, visit: https://bit.ly/367TcKa.
Our student's voices are so important!
Year Book Contest Cover
Attention all Oster artists! We invite all students to enter their original artwork into our Yearbook Cover Contest.
Since it is so essential to our learning this year, we have chosen TECHNOLOGY as our theme for the 2020-2021 yearbook. Think about all the ways you use technology, then use your creativity and imagination to incorporate this theme into your cover design. The winning design will be featured on the front cover.
For full details and submission requirements, please see the contest flyer at https://bit.ly/OsterYBContest

Education Fund Drive
The latest round of the Education Fund drive runs until the holiday break on December 18. The class with the highest participation will get free pizza!
Each year Oster HSC raises 100% of the funds necessary to support core enrichment programs in areas such as reading, math, music, and science that are not covered by the State or District. Although this school year looks very different, there are several critical programs that need to be funded. First, our upper-grade play structure is in need of replacement, and our goal is to get that taken care of while the students are away from campus. We have also provided each teacher with an additional $100 each for supplemental resources they may need during distance learning. Additionally, because of the COVID crisis, we are not able to hold in-person fundraisers this year, which means your donations are extremely important.
Your direct donation, and any employer match, will help us pay for the student, school, and faculty programs that we have committed to for this school year. Since we fund about $250 per student each year, the suggested donation per student is $250. No matter what you donate, we encourage every family to participate in this critical fund drive.
