Notes from the Nurse

Physicals and immunizations for new students to Antioch CCSD 34, Kindergarteners, and sixth graders are due by September 30th. If this paperwork is not turned in by this date, your student will not be able to attend school.

With Covid continuing to be present in our community, we would like to remind families of the following guidelines:

  • Please keep your student home and contact your nurse for guidance on the next steps if your student is displaying any of the following symptoms: fever (100.4 or higher) new onset of moderate to severe headache, shortness of breath, new cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, new loss of taste or smell, fatigue from an unknown cause, muscle or body aches from an unknown cause. As of right now siblings can still attend school if a student has Covid symptoms and is tested within 24 hours of the onset of symptoms. Also, the most current guidance states that we can accept either a PCR test or a rapid test as long as it is not done at home (no over the counter tests).

  • Please keep your student home if anyone in the household tests positive for Covid-19, and contact your school’s nurse. They will work with the Lake County Health Department to monitor symptoms and calculate a date for your student to return to school.

Curriculum Night 2021

Our annual Curriculum Nights will be held virtually this year. You will have the opportunity to attend two different sessions on both nights.

Kindergarten-2nd Grade: Monday, September 13th

3rd Grade-5th Grade: Thursday, September 16th

Session #1 - 6:00-6:25 pm

Session #2 - 6:30-6:55 pm

The links for all of the sessions are included in the long rectangular buttons directly below.

Board Games Wanted

With additional recess time added to every class's schedule, we are looking to add additional board games/activities to the classrooms for cases of inclement weather. If anyone has student-friendly board games to donate, please contact your child's teacher. We are interested in games for children ages 5-12.

Activity Fees

All fees must be paid prior to students participating in any extra-curricular activities. Payments must be logged in daily and deposited at least with 48 hours of receiving payments.

Picture Day

Our school picture day will be Tuesday, September 14th.

ACHS Activities

"No unaccompanied middle/elementary students are allowed at ACHS for any athletic/extracurricular activities. Middle and elementary students must be with their parents and sit with their parents at ACHS events. Also, all backpacks, balls, skateboards, bikes, scooters, and outside food & drink are not allowed into the facilities. There is no re-entry into events once you leave."

WC Petty Art Gallery

The students have been working on our first month's display for our art gallery. This is a picture of the Petty version of the Kusama Obliteration Room. The students were all able to pick dots of any color or size and place them wherever they wanted. We thought 2nd grader, Riyan, was the perfect addition to our gallery.
