A Message from the Principal

Dear Holy Family Catholic School Community,

WELCOME BACK!!!!! Welcome back to a new school year, welcome back to School Mass, and welcome back to Monday Morning Prayer! It feels so good to see our parents on campus again after such a long time. Our first few days of school have gone smoothly and we are all so happy to see our students smiling faces again; they are ready and eager to learn.

Virtue of the Year: Our Virtue of the Year is Community in appreciation of how we all stayed strong and true to being a caring family last year and how we can celebrate our community more fully this year.

Theme of the Year: Our Theme of the Year is also based on community, Jesus said, “I am the Vine, you are the branches,” and as Holy Family Catholic School we are united in and through Christ.

Uniform shipping delays and back orders: Many of you have not yet received your child’s full uniform for this year due to Mills uniform supply chain issues. Students may wear plain red polos if you have not received the logo polos yet. Other uniform accommodations can be made as needed.

Thank you for a great start to our new school year. I look forward to seeing you at School Mass this Thursday.

Beginners Band Camp

The first week of August, the 4th and 5th graders participated in Beginners Band Camp. In three short days, these students learned about their instrument, clefs, notes, rhythm and basic music reading skills. By Friday, they performed the three songs they had learned for faculty, staff and parents!

Thanks to the middle school student teachers who gave up their last few days of summer holiday to help Ms. Bernal with breaking-in our Beginners! You all were a huge help! Thanks to Samantha, Kaitlyn, Alexa, Mary Ellen, Cooper, Tuesday and Addie.

A SUPER thank you to Ms. Bernal for her dedication and expertise and for being the best band director ever!

More on Band!

Back in the Spring, all the band students participated in the HFCS Solo Contest and all of them received First Division medals.

The Band also competed TPSMEA Band Contest and receive an excellent rating from the judges.

Well done!!! Congratulations!
