AM Drop Off Reminders
We need your help and support.
If you drop off students in the morning please pay close attention. As noted in the image below, when dropping students off we ask that you follow the path marked by the green arrows and NOT ENTER the student parking lot (noted in red below). Recently we have seen an increase of people cutting through the parking lot and have had several near accidents. While we are trying to use cones and staff to mark off these areas we need your help and support with this effort.
We need to work together to keep all of our students, staff, and families safe.
After School Procedures
Thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to work to provide a safe and secure learning environment.
March 14th
I have also spoken with students from our Student Government Association (SGA) who have expressed an interest in doing an event on school grounds, but have not worked out any details yet. If our SGA does coordinate an activity for our students it will be an optional activity that will provide our students with an opportunity to express their views here at school.
A Message from our After Prom 2019 Committee
Well, it takes a community .... and we're starting to see some results for Blake AfterProm.
A big shout out to the Pollack, Santoro, Goldfogle, Wolk, Brown, Guerrera, Snuggs, Lamb, Soussi-Tanani, Harris, and Malone families. We're up to $1,575 in Legacy Family donations. Our goal is still $5,000.
But wait, there's more... our students will enjoy a selection of yummy food donated by local restaurants at AfterProm from El Andariego - Ashton, Passion Bakery - Sandy Spring, Vocelli - Cloverly, and from Olney, Chick-fil-a, Sardi's, Mamma Lucia, and Panera. We've also received $100 from Costco and $25 from Cloverly Safeway. Please consider supporting these local businesses as they support us.
We've made it easy to donate. Our Paypal account is treasurer@BlakePTSA.org, with a note that the donation is for Blake AP Legacy. We ask for $100 donations for Legacy Families, but any denomination is appreciated. Or, please make a check payable to Blake AfterProm, 300 Norwood Road, Silver Spring, MD 20905.
We're still looking for more business sponsor donations and gift cards. If you know of any businesses you can reach out to, please be in touch with us.
We'll also be sending out a sign-up request for help staffing the AfterProm. Please consider volunteering in any way you can.
