Principal's Message

Students are doing a great job adjusting to the policies in the handbook. Although these are not new policies, I know that I am strict in enforcing them. I hope families understand that student safety and education are our most important goals. Students have been engaged in their lessons and I am so excited to see their academic growth. Next week we will start to count tardies and make sure cell phones are in student lockers. We thought a transition period was necessary to adjust before assigning consequences.

We are also working to bring back some old traditions. We are bringing back the Hound Pound. Students will be able to purchase a T-Shirt and get into sporting events for free. We will also have our first pep assembly on September 9th. We are so excited about the positive changes and we can't wait to continue to share all the changes with you. If you have ideas for change, please reach out to me as we are continuing to look for new ideas.

Senior Meeting

We had our Senior meeting this past week. Discussions were around their Senior trip. Students will be selecting a destination in the upcoming weeks and then their will be more fundraising opportunities.

Professional Learning Communities

Every Wednesday we will be dismissing at 1:45 p.m. for PLC meetings. Professional Learning Communities are starting this school year. This is a focused time for staff to plan, discuss and evaluate data to increase test scores and overall academic achievement.
