Why am I an active member of TCEA?
I review this PNL twice a week. To be honest I am consuming more than contributing. I like the articles published in the blog ”TechNotes Blog", it shares ed tech thought leadership, tips and tricks, and information on new products and trends.
I also have several professional development opportunities in last technologies applied to education and go deeper in specific skills by completing any certifications offered by TCEA, among others: Campus Technology Specialist, iPad Certification. Each certification will provide structure and guidance to help me become a master within that particular area.
Particularly, I love to attend and participate annually in the TCEA Convention & Exposition. I have participated two years in a row and there had had tons of new knowledge and sessions were educators explore best practices for engaging students, increasing productivity, and innovating teaching and learning with technology.
As a STEM teacher and with a project of implementation robotics club in my school (in the past two years), TCEA has a Robotics Contests where we want to participate this year. TCEA’s robotics contests give students the opportunity to develop STEM skills with hands-on, collaborative projects. This particular section offers professional development in robotics for educators via webinars, face-to-face workshops and onsite learning events.
