A Message from the Principal
Dear Holy Family Catholic School Community,
October is the month of the Rosary and I hope that you were able to join us last week when we prayed, and streamed, the World Mission Rosary. Under Sr. Immaculata’s direction, the students made beautiful paper flowers in the colors of the World Mission Rosary in order to create a contemplative atmosphere for our prayers.
October is also Clergy Appreciation Month, if you haven’t already done so, please consider sending Father Hoa a note of appreciation. We are truly blessed to have such a caring pastor.
Pot O’ Gold is one of the things that we discussed at our October Home and School Association meeting last Wednesday evening. We are very busy brainstorming on how to make a virtual POG as much fun and as engaging as possible! I am sad that we won’t be able to gather in person this year, but the prospect of wearing masks and social distancing at our POG seems like a worse alternative. If the safety protocol changes before our POG date of February 6, we will make great efforts to pivot to a live event in the parish hall. Our POG theme reveal will be on November 16, stay tuned for this balloon popping, confetti flying event!
The Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences are this Friday, October 16th, your child’s attendance, in a HFCS polo, is highly encouraged. Teachers will send you a Zoom invite after you have indicated your preferred time for the meeting on the Signup Genius that was sent to you.
It’s hard to believe that our first quarter will be over this week, kudos to all for following our safety procedures – you have helped us stay happy and healthy this quarter!
