Vision: Academic Excellence and Success
Mission: The mission of the Rio Hondo Independent School District is to educate every student by creating an environment of high expectations, innovation, and strong partnerships.
From Mr. R's Desk
Bobcat Nation,
At the beginning of the school year, we all agreed that our goal this year was to become an A campus. So, at this time I ask... how INTENTIONAL and ACCOUNTABLE have you been to ensure that we accomplish our goal? What do your best practices look like?
Please do not get sidetracked. I ask that we remain focused on the goal but more importantly, committed to the best practices as this will ensure success. The way I see it, we can stay focused on the goal all we want but if we're not committed to the best practices [on a daily basis] then how will we achieve success?
DAILY CHECKLIST
- Did I get here on time?
- Was I prepared today?
- Did I post my objective?
- Did I submit lesson plans for the week?
- Did I allow students out the first or last 15 minutes of instruction?
- Did I check for understanding?
- Did I provide feedback for students?
- Did I post grades?
- Did I communicate with parents today?
- Did I bring it today?
Are your daily practices aligned with academic success and excellence? Your answer matters.
