Crossroads Elementary will be holding its open house for prospective families on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. This event is targeted toward families who are considering selecting Crossroads for the first time next year. Currently enrolled students and families need not attend. Please help us spread the word!

Winter Weather Information

The Superintendent may schedule a Snow Day or E-Learning Day if:

● Wind chills are forecasted to be -35 or colder at 6 a.m.

● Snow makes it too difficult for our students and staff to get to school


Families will be notified: SPPS uses a variety of methods to inform families, staff and the community about school closures and cancellations including:


  • spps.org, local media, social media, and direct communication through email, text messages and phone calls
  • Please do not call the school line unless necessary for these instances and please listen to the full SPPS Robo Call or check your email, text, etc...


E-Learning Day:

● On an e-learning day, students are learning online with their teachers and classmates on their district iPads.

● Students can expect to meet with their teachers and other students throughout an e-learning day and complete assignments via Seesaw/Schoology.

Please Forgive Our Mistake!

Unfortunately, we did not get student ipads out to all families last week, prior to the two E-learning days we endured. Please do not worry about your student's absences for these two days. For those that were able to get online via personal devices, we are so glad you had that option. We will do a better job of making sure to monitor the weather and get ipads out to students in a more timely manner in the future. Again, we are truly sorry for the inconvenience this caused families last week. We will work harder to do better. Thank you for your understanding.
