Transportation Behavior Expectations
Our first, and most important, priority is to provide safe transportation for children. To do this, our drivers must be able to fully concentrate on operating the vehicle. We ask parents' help in reinforcing 1) Safety; 2) Respect; and 3) Responsibility when students ride in a district vehicle.
January is School Board Recognition Month!
Colorado Avalanche January 2023 Teacher of the Month: Mrs. Mead!
When asked what her favorite part of the Future Goals program was and how she sees STEM in the game of hockey she said "My favorite part of the Future Goals program is that students are able to see how subjects like math and science can be applied in the sports world. From topics like kinetic and potential energy at the puck drop, to how players train with their target heart rate zone, there are so many standards covered when utilizing the Future Goals program! I see STEM in the game of hockey often! As I mentioned, from hockey players training and reaching a target heart rate, observing different angles when players pass, and shoot, to designing a hockey stick with the right measurements to help players pass, and shoot to their best potential. The amount of STEM in hockey is constant and if you keep your eyes out for it, you will find it!"
