Our Garden Beds could use some love, we have small touch-up painting projects throughout the building, a storage closet that needs some TLC, (Think Marie Condo here.) and the trophy case in the hallway needs to be cleaned so our newly earned Harvest Cup has a new home.

Saint Michael School and Summit Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Partner to Benefit Project Feed the Thousands

On Thursday morning at All School Meeting, we held a kickoff to our annual Project Feed the Thousands food drive.

This year, SMS is partnering with Summit Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM to "Fill the Jeep". All pantry items will be given directly to support the mission of St. Brigids Kitchen.

Kelli Corbeil came to speak to the students on behalf of Project Feed the Thousands, and Liana Capra and Jacqlyn Nichole of Summit Jeep came to introduce themselves and thank the students for their involvement.

From November 8th through December 20th, families will be challenged to make donations, with classrooms competing against one another with weekly weigh ins. Starting next week, students will have donation boxes in all their classrooms. You all received a flyer in your student packet today with a list of suggested donation items.

At the end of the drive, all of the items will be piled into a vehicle provided by Summit and driven to the donation site for Project Feed the Thousands.

We plan to park a vehicle outside of the school for the duration of the drive to remind SMS families and church parishioners to "Fill the Jeep". We ask that parents give a little each week, not just once. Together, through small contributions made weekly, we can make a really significant contribution to the community during this season of need.

Project Feed also accepts monetary donations so feel free to send those in with your student, or drop off money to the front office.

We thank you in advance for a hugely successful food drive.

November is National Adoption Awareness Month

Please read the flyer below and consider if you, or someone you know, can get involved!
