Preparing to Return to School
Welcome Back Students!
We are so excited to see our students once again! We have missed them and look forward to starting the year in-person in "yellow." Our goal is to do everything we can to keep everyone safe, happy and learning in-person for as much of the year as possible. Below are a some details that we hope will help as we prepare to return.

Meet Your Teacher
We will have Meet Your Teacher opportunities for students and families on September 1 and 2. Please use the link below to schedule an appointment with your child's teacher. You can choose one of the following options that best fits your family:
- In-Person - One student and one adult visit the school at the scheduled time to meet with the teacher. Face coverings (masks or shields) must be worn. Families may bring and leave any school supplies at this time.
- Remote - Teachers will send families links to a GoogleMeet for this option.
Daily Schedule
- Student Drop Off begins at 7:45AM. Students will be supervised on the playground until 8:00AM.
- All student will report directly to classrooms beginning at 8:00AM.
- Breakfast will be served in the classroom.
- First bell rings at 8:20AM. The tardy bell rings at 8:25AM.
- Lunch will be delivered to the classroom and eaten with the teacher.
- Dismissal is at 3:07PM.
- There is no early release on Friday for the first semester.
First Day Information
- Families will not be allowed into the building the first morning of school. Please use the Meet Your Teacher appointments to come to the school and drop off any supplies.
- We ask that you help your students start their regular end-of-the-day routines on the first day. This helps us get all students comfortable with where they need to go and help lessen the confusion.
Transportation and End of Day Routines
- Bus students will be called over the intercom to load when their bus arrives.
- Students riding the bus will be required to wear a face covering, which can be a mask or shield.
- Siblings will sit together on the bus.
- Bus riders will be given a Zonar Lanyard to sign in and off of the bus.
- The first dismissal bell at 3:07PM will release the walkers who exit using the front doors. We ask that parents wait outside and physically distance as they wait for students.
- Car pick up students will be called out as families get to the front of the line.
- Please see the map attached to help with the end-of-day routines.
Safety Strategies
- All staff, students and visitors are required to wear face coverings. Masks and shields are acceptable. Hats that are attached to shields will be allowed in the classroom.
- Students may bring their own masks or shields or will be provided with cloth masks at school, which should be washed daily.
- Visitors will not be allowed to enter the school beyond the security vestibule without making prior arrangements and will be asked to check in at the office wearing a face covering.
- We ask that families monitor symptoms at home each morning and keep students with a fever of 100.4 or higher at home.
- Students should remain fever free without the use of over-the-counter medications before returning to school.
- Students will be receiving lessons on the importance of hand washing.
- School staff will ensure that classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, playground equipment and other important locations are disinfected on a regular schedule throughout the day.
- Physical distancing will be practiced as much as we are able during yellow and orange stages.
- Students will use only water bottles for drinks. Please label these with our child's first and last name.
- Recesses have been organized to reduce exposures and to give students breaks from masks and shields.
- Teachers will also be scheduling face covering breaks for students.
Technology
- Chromebooks will be assigned to each child.
- Chromebooks will remain at school during the yellow stage, but will be sent home with students during the orange and red stage for online learning.
- Teachers will be sharing all login, email and password information with families within the first week of school to help facilitate online learning.
- All staff and students will be utilizing GoogleClassroom for assignments.
- Grades will be kept based on work completion.
