Goals of the Year
Last spring, we asked our students questions about their perceptions of our school. Their answers lead us to two school-wide goals this year. They are:
1. We will increase students' sense of belonging, safety, and care.
2. We will increase students efficacy and agency in rigorous academic tasks.
Our staff is already hard at work trying new things to ensure these two goals can be met. One of the things we implemented is Character Education. This month our entire school is focusing on RESPECT. Lessons on respect are taught in each classroom. Each month two students from each class will be nominated as Student of the Month because they regularly demonstrate the trait we are focusing on or they have grown in their ability to do so. Students of the Month will receive a token for the book vending machine. If your child is nominated, you will receive a notification from the teacher, so you can attend. In this link, you will find connected activities of things you can do at home as a family to continue the discussion on this important character trait.
Attendance
Supervision is provide on the playground starting at 8:45 a.m. so please do not drop your child off earlier than that.
Also, unless it is critical, please do not pick your child up early from school. It is disruptive to the classroom as well as the individual's learning.
Thank you for your cooperation with this.

It is called the Student Shout Out Board and it is located to the right when you enter the main entrance of the school. We hope students are able to look around and see the good in each other. |
