CHA Menu for the Week of May 23rd, 2022

Message from Margaret Simpson, Child Nutrition Director:

  • If your child has special dietary needs, please complete the attached document and return to Margaret Simpson.
  • Curbside Meals are available for CHA virtual students and include breakfast and lunch meals. Please click here to reserve meals for your scholar(s).
  • In an effort to keep our scholars safe, please remind your scholar(s) to refrain from sharing food. Many of our scholars have food allergies and an act of kindness could lead to a serious allergic reaction.
  • Supply Chain Issues

As we continue with the 2021-2022 school year, we are facing unprecedented issues with the supply chain that have caused us to alter our posted menus with little to no notice.

We are working very closely with our distributors and manufacturers to secure both the food and supply items needed to support our program, however the availability of these items has been changing on a daily basis.

While it is our intention to serve the posted menu every day at every school, supply issues will not make this possible throughout this school year until the supply chain issues are rectified.

When changes to the posted school menu become necessary, we will attempt to substitute the scheduled menu item with another that is as similar as possible, to the extent we are able to do so, based on the products we are able to receive.

Chapel Hill Academy is committed to providing our students with the highest quality food possible, and we are working with manufacturers and distributors every day on this very serious supply chain concern.

No Cost Summer Meals-See Flyer Below

Lunch

Office staff will not accept any drop off lunches for your scholar. If your scholar is not eating the meals that are being offered, it is the parent’s/guardian’s sole responsibility to ensure that your scholar has their lunch when they are being dropped off each morning in the carpool lane. If your scholar forgets their lunch, they may eat a healthy nutritious reimbursable meal that is offered through our Scholar Nutrition Program.
