Principal's Message

Dear Ride Families,

A huge thank you to our Sally K. Ride PTO committee for the Fall fundraiser -- Ride's Reading Adventure. This has been an amazing couple of weeks! It was just the right activity for our school after a long year and a half hiatus from school wide activities. We are so grateful for each of you who served on this committee each day to make this happen. The PTO has provided a record breaking $600 per teacher to spend on their classroom. All items are approved by the principal and will have a direct impact and benefit to the students.

The PTO Hospitality committee provide the staff with Jason's Deli lunch today. It was perfect!

Thank you so much for taking such good care of us.

We appreciate our PTO and everything they do for us. If you have not joined the PTO, please consider joining. Even the small gestures make a big difference. Ridepto.com

Reservation for Lunch at Sally K. Ride

We have a Sign-Up Genius to reserve a spot to have lunch with your child. In order to give all parents an opportunity to sign up, each adult may only sign up once every three weeks.

There is no visitor seating available in the cafe. Therefore, you may eat in a couple of different areas; Art room, library or outside tables (by gazebo or Trike Track). Certain areas will be designated for specific grades. (see locations below)

We will allow 10 parents per lunch period to eat lunch with their child. Please make every effort to eat outside at picnic tables (weather permitting), otherwise you will see your location to eat in the Sign-Up Genius.

GT Program

Referral requests are now open for Conroe Independent School District Gifted and Talented program. Referral requests can be made by the parents and/or campus staff. It is recommended that parents of 2nd grade students wait until CogAT scores have arrived before nominating their child because CogAT scores are part of the GT assessment. If you are interested in referring your child, you may want to discuss this with your child’s teacher at conferences. Referrals will be accepted through December 17, 2021. Referral form can be accessed through the link below.
