The Boston Tea Party
Who was there?
Paul Revere was shockingly there at the Boston Tea Party. The governor of Boston was also there with a surprise in him! He must of been mad to see all of this tea in the Harbor.
When Did This Take Place?
Some of the men were hauling those heavy crates of tea over the ship. Could you imagine lifting all those heavy crates overboard? It took place in 1773 December, 16.
How Did it Happen?
A group of Bostonians instigated by the American patriot , Samuel Adams and many of them disguised as Indians boarded the vessels. They emptied the tea into the Boston Harbor. The government of Boston refused to pay for the tea, and the British closed the port.
Why Did It Happen?
It took some men to get all that tea overboard. And you think that 2 boxes are heavy! The reason why it happened was because the Boston citizens wanted to protest the British tax on tea imported to the colonies.
