End of Year ILL Dates
The dates for final end of year ILL requests and the final date for LORI Delivery are available at 2018-2019 Important End Of Year Information
As we all do our best to wrap up this school year, please take the time to check your own shelves for books that still appear as "returning" to your library or "returning" to a sending library. In the fast-paced life of the school library sometimes books get misplaced. Help them get home for summer vacation.

RI School Library Survey 2019
The Office of Library and Information Services (OLIS) invites you to participate in a statewide survey of school library programs in Rhode Island. The survey is conducted on behalf of the Library Board of Rhode Island (LBRI), which has formed an ad hoc committee to study the status of school libraries in Rhode Island elementary and secondary schools, identify the challenges to the inclusion of successful school library media programs, and make recommendations for actions that would strengthen school library media programs in our schools.
To accomplish these goals, we need your help. Please complete this survey, one submission for each school you serve. Your answers will help us learn about the staffing, access, collections, and services of Rhode Island school libraries. We are asking all schools to submit responses, even if your school does not currently have a library or library program. Responses will not be shared in any way that links them to a specific school or school district.
The survey is open until May 10, 2019. Thank you for your assistance in helping us obtain a complete picture of school libraries in the state, which is critical for OLIS and LBRI to develop strategies for supporting school libraries throughout Rhode Island.

PLEASE NOTE: to get the average age for fiction and non-fiction in the library's collection to answer questions 21 and 22 in the survey go to the Reports tab in Destiny, choose Library Reports in the left-hand column, and then scroll down on the resulting page to "Collections Statistics Summary". This is a real-time report, so it may take a minute or so to generate the report for display on your screen. Once the report is on the screen, click on the internal tab that says "Age" on the top right of the column display, and a summary of the age of the collection by Dewey number and call number extension with totals for fiction (F or FIC) and non-fiction will display.
