Health Care
Should all Americans have a right to basic healthcare?
Health Care Repeal and Replace ObamaCare
In place of Obamacare, Mitt will pursue policies that give each state the power to craft a health care reform plan that is best for its own citizens. The federal government’s role will be to help markets work by creating a level playing field for competition
Romney’s Commitment to Health Care
“Health care is more than just one-sixth of the American economy. It is a source of well-being for individuals and families. We are blessed with much that is good in American health care. But we have taken a turn for the worse with Obama Care, with its high taxes and vastly expanded federal control over our lives. I believe the better course is to empower the states to determine their own health care futures.”
Obama’s Commitment to Health Care
The Affordable Care Act was designed to improve four main areas:
- Health Care Services
- Promotion of Physical Activity and Nutritious Foods
- Mental Well-Being
- Health Care and Insurance Costs
Some of the Affordable Care Act’s successes include:
- Allowing children under age 26 to stay on their parents health insurance
- Free preventive screenings
- Require insurance companies to cover children and adults with pre-existing conditions
- Encourage better chronic disease management
