Shout Outs!!
Shout out to coach Lupton, Ms. Bennett and Mrs. Panetti for helping out a student that needed a pair of tennis shoes. They recognized the need and worked as a team to get him help.
Shout out to Ms. Michaela Tran, Ms. Polk, Mrs. Morrison, Mrs. Bui for taking 58 girls to Austin last Saturday to the Invent It, Build It Expo - Society of Women Engineers. Our girls had a great time and were exposed to careers in engineering.
Shout out to Ms. Momin for staying at Alief Proud the whole time and giving beautiful henna tattoos to the patrons.
Shout out to Mr. Salazar and his team of parents for setting up a Dia de los Muertos altar in the family center for our students to learn about that Latin American tradition.

AP Corner
- Make sure your students know your rules and expectations
- Have a system in place - for example: 3 strike rule, verbal warning, written warning, etc.
- Make sure you have contacted parents about the issue prior to writing a referral.
- Clean slate - Start over after a referral is written and a consequence issued. Don't hold grudges.
