Portland School of Free Thought
A Community Based Mystery School
The Portland School of Free Thought is a school of esoteric study not bound by constraints of creed. Egalitarian in nature, anyone of any belief (or lack of belief) is welcome to come and share whatever they’d like, on any topic which peaks their interest in an open forum. Its purpose is to bring people together in a tolerant, respectful atmosphere, to share what they are really thinking about behind the small talk. Some of these topics may include (but are not limited to) history, metaphysics, semiotics, etymology, healing methods, scientific theory (both modern and ancient), philosophy, psychology, dreamwork, personal experiences/skepticism, etc.
You free to:
- Bring a composed lecture and share your knowledge on a topic (Or just wing it!)
- Recite the words from an author who inspires you.
- Pose questions to the group.
- Share your personal thoughts or experiences.
- Sit and listen (no pressure).
