Soul Café Helpful Hints
It is up to each individual if you want to set up/make coffee before service or during service (I personally feel better if I prep before service)!
**YOU HAVE TO RUN A "TEST POT" OF JUST WATER BEFORE MAKING COFFEE!!!**
Coffee (see instruction sheet in drawer under the coffee maker) typically 2 pots regular and 1 decaf.
If service looks like a “larger” crowd you can make 1 regular pot during soul café.
Treats- usually can be found on top of the soul café cart or on kitchen counter.
At times they may be located in the fridge or freezer,
but we try to let you know if that is the case.
Juice, Milk, & Coffee can be brought to the gathering area on a cart from the kitchen.
You can serve coffee from carafes located underneath island in the kitchen.
Napkins, stirrers, cups, etc should be in the soul café cart. Please make sure the sugar, sweet n low, stirrers, powdered creamer, and napkins are on top of soul café cart to be easily accessible. If something is low you can look in the back kitchen pantry. If you notice something is empty or running low please let Mary or Camilla know.

TURN IN THOSE SILENT AUCTIONS ITEMS!!!
We are nearing the end of our collection for Silent Auction donations! In order to have adequate time to organize all the goodies, we are asking to have all donations in to the office by Sunday, October 27th--this coming Sunday!!!
If you reaaaalllyyyy need a little more time to get your donations in order, you can drop them off to Dani this week - the earlier in the week, the better!
Need donation ideas?!
Below are items that were a huge success in the past: antiques and collectibles, trips, or use of vacation homes or time shares, gift certificates to anywhere, artwork, photography, floral arrangements, themed baskets, handcrafted items, sports equipment or sport packages, event tickets, and services (donate your time or talents i.e.), baked goods, catered meals, lawn care, snow removal, baby-sitting, handyman for a day, painting, or a lesson.
We will accept new items only, except for any antiques or collectibles pre-approved by the auction committee.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS BROUGHT IN ITEMS SO FAR! THE SILENT AUCTION IS A SUCCESS BECAUSE OF THE HARD WORK, DONATIONS AND DEDICATION TO THIS EVENT EVERY YEAR, AND WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL EVENING!

Coats for ALL ages, infant through young adult, are needed. Donate clean, gently used coats or shop the sales and buy a new coat for someone in need.
