Parking Lot Procedure
If you're child is truly a walker, you must park in the middle school parking lot or at the administration buildings parking lot and you can walk your child up to the front doors.
Do not let your child out of your vehicle prior to 8:35 am as there is no supervision or adult monitoring. Safety is the priority.
Thank you for your cooperation!

Attendance Policy
Children can only thrive in school if they are present in school. Listed below are our definitions of and policies pertaining to attendance.
Absence—any day that a student misses school.
Late arrivals - After 9:30am the student will be marked absent for the morning.
Early Dismissal - before 2:30pm in the afternoon the student will be marked absent for the PM.
Excused Absence—Any medically documented absence, funeral days, or court will not be counted against the student.
Excessive Absences:
If a child accumulates 10 absences in a school year, the building administrator will send a letter to inform the parent/guardian
If the child reaches 15 absences in a school year the building administrator will inform the local police department of a potential truancy issue.
The police department will then contact or visit the child’s home to discuss the truancy with the parents.
If the absences reach 20 in a school year, according to law, referrals must be made to the Local Police Department and possibly, the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.
*Parents are encouraged not to take their children out of school for vacations. Vacation days are considered unexcused.
TARDIES—arrives late or leaves early from school and missing LESS than 55 minutes of school time
No Call-Downs after 3:00 PM
