Welcome Back!!!🏫🍎🎓
Dear Spartans,
We are excited to welcome you back to another fantastic school year! Whether you are returning or joining us for the first time, we are thrilled to have you be a part of our school community. Our goal is to create a welcoming and affirming environment where students feel valued and supported. Each student brings something unique and special, making us stronger together. As we begin this new year, remember that we are here to learn, grow, and enjoy school while doing so.
First, I am proud to share that Gates Chili was recently approved for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), a program that will have a transformative impact on our students and families. Under this program, students can eat breakfast and lunch in our cafeterias every day at no charge to families.
- Families do not have to complete any forms for their student(s) to receive free meals at school.
- Families should still complete an Income Eligibility Form, formerly known as the Free and Reduced Meal Application, which is tied to other important benefits for students such as fee waivers and state funding, which helps keep costs lower for our local taxpayers. The Income Eligibility Form is available on our website at gateschili.org/IncomeForm and will be available through MySchoolApps this fall.
Don’t get rid of your MySchoolBucks account either! Individual items are still available for purchase. To read more about free meals and meal accounts, see our Frequently Asked Questions.
I also want to share a quick reminder about mobile phone and earbud expectations. In a continued effort to make instruction a priority in the classroom, mobile phones and earbuds/Air Pods will be prohibited during instructional time. Click the button below for more details on this expectation.
I look forward to sharing the wonderful things happening in the high school all year. Keep an eye out for upcoming events and activities. We can't wait to see all the wonderful things our students will accomplish this year.
Go Spartans!

Advisor Updates:
Hope you had a wonderful summer. We are looking forward to seeing you at the 10th grade assembly opportunity 2 on the first day of school. We wanted to provide you with some important information for the upcoming school year.
- HOMECOMING/ T-SHIRTS: Class shirts will be sold from September 5th through September 11th. This will allow us to have the shirts completed and passed out before the homecoming pep rally. Please check your email early September for information regarding t-shirt design and cost. We will pass out order forms at the sophomore assembly Tuesday morning. Homecoming is from 9/18 -9/22. We will have a homecoming decoration meeting on 9/7 @2:15 in room #311.
- JUNIOR PROM: We will need to select a venue for the 2025 Junior Prom by the end of October. The Junior Prom has been held at our high school for the past two years. Do we want to continue having the prom at the high school? Do we want to move to a venue off campus? Please contact class officers if you have a suggestion.
- FUNDRAISING: Fundraising is crucial, and we need to raise money to help pay for activities/events that will take place over the next three years. Ideas for this school year include class shirts, Entertainment books, car washes, "pie your favorite teacher", and Niagara Chocolates. If we fail to fundraise, tickets for Junior Prom and Senior Ball increase. Continue to check your email for additional information regarding these fundraising opportunities throughout the year. If you have any fundraising suggestions, please contact your class officers and advisors.
- PICTURES: Please send pictures from school events, clubs, sports, etc. to Chloe Favasuli (Class Historian). We will need pictures from elementary school to high school. These pictures will be used in your Senior Class Video.
