The Pirate Way

Pirate Families,

I know that you are still enjoying the last few weeks of summer or you are completing your final session of summer school today. Either way, I hope you are enjoying your time. I do want to let you know that at Oceanside High School we have been working all summer to get ready for an amazing 2022-2023 school year!

For our new Pirates, joining us this year, we welcome you to our very large and very proud Pirate family. Oceanside High School dates back to 1906 and with that history comes many traditions and many past Pirates that you will now be joining. We are so excited to have you. Please make sure that you reach out and get involved in all of the great opportunities that we have on our campus including clubs, student organizations, athletics, music, CTE and art to name just a few. Also, make sure that if you have a question or need anything that you ask any OHS staff member on campus to help you. Every OHS staff member is here to support you and make this not only a successful journey, but also an experience full of fantastic memories.

To our returning Pirates, we welcome you back! Be ready to start this year knowing that our expectations are high and we know you will continue to be successful at OHS. We look forward to seeing your smiling faces back on campus and relish the idea that we are not only able to experience with you your academic growth, but also your continued growth and development as a person who represents all of our Pirate Core Values.

For all of our students out there remember that the year flies by. Please enjoy these last few weeks, but get ready for an exciting year ahead of us. You all have the ability to be successful at OHS. We are all here to support you through this journey! If you need anything at all please do not hesitate to reach out!

Pirates you are a part of something big! You belong and will always belong in the Oceanside High School Pirate Community. What an amazing feeling to realize you belong to something bigger than the individual Pirate, but rather part of a 100 year plus Pirate Ship Community!

Regardless of where you may go and no matter what you end up accomplishing the one thing that you have to count on is that you will ALWAYS be a PIRATE!

Stay safe! Know you are loved and belong to the Pirate community - this is the Pirate Way!

Do you know you are a member of over 100 years of tradition? Join the OHS Foundation

The nonprofit Oceanside High School Foundation was originally founded in 1986. Left inactive after the Oceanside High School 90th reunion, this vital organization was re-established in 2005 to organize the school’s centennial celebration. Today, the Oceanside High School Foundation continues to serve the students, staff and alumni of OHS. Working on behalf of Oceanside High School, the Foundation helps provide funds for student programs, scholarships, faculty grant awards, campus improvement projects, the annual All-Class Reunion, Hall of Fame and other activities helping to lessen the disparity between student’s needs and state/district funding. We also serve as a liaison and database for alumni and their respective classes.
