Goodbye August, Hello September!

Another week is coming to a close at ABC Stewart! We finished up this week with the very exciting and much anticipated Stewart Election! The 6th year students spent all week campaigning and ended their week-long efforts this morning by handing out campaign stickers to the younger students.

Voting opened at 9:30 to all Stewart students and the results are in! Introducing our newly elected officials:

Sergeant at Arms - Sarah Kuehner

Parliamentarian - Van Moravec

Alumni Spotlight!

Congratulations to one of our ABC Stewart graduates for being this year's winner of the Mill Race Marathon poster contest!

"The designer of the 2022 Mill Race Marathon poster is Zane Moravec, a Columbus East High School student. His design focuses on the 10th year anniversary of the marathon. Moravec will receive a $500 Mill Race Marathon Scholarship check and will have his artwork serve as the official race poster for 2022."

Back-To-School Picnic!

When: Friday, September 9th @ 5:00 pm

Theme: Potluck Picnic. Plan to bring a large dish you would like to share with Stewart friends. Please do not worry about feeding the entire crowd. One large dish, or a few bags of chips, will be sufficient.

What to bring: Families are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and chairs. Limited seating will be available in the gym. We will provide water, plates, napkins and utensils.

Entertainment: Pony rides, bounce houses, and a special performance from the Southern Indiana Taiko group at 6:30.

**Extended will close at 5:00 pm**

Basketball Camp!

All Stewart students are welcome to join basketball camp!

Where: ABC-Stewart Gymnasium

When:

1st-3rd Grades: Sept. 19-22

4th-6th Grades: Sept. 26-29

After school 4 pm - 5 pm

$50 per camper includes camp t-shirt. All proceeds will be donated to ABC-Stewart. Checks must be written to Columbus East High School per senior project guidelines. Additional donations are accepted and greatly appreciated!

Permission slips will be sent home with students. Please fill out your form and return it to the office at ABC!
