November Awards Assembly & PTO Fun Day - November 18th
Please remember to send $1 with your child if they want to purchase an ice cream in the afternoon. We ask that you send the $1 with your child to school in an envelope marked PTO Ice Cream. Since our PTO offers this every month, you may send in money for the remainder of the year ($7) and then you don't have to worry about forgetting in the future!
PTO meeting this Friday, November 18th at 3:30pm
You are invited to attend, or you may view the meeting on our Facebook page. We are going to "go live" with the meeting in hopes to reach more parents who are not able to make it to school for the meetings. This will keep you informed of what is going on with PTO, and allow you to comment any ideas you may want to share. We would love your feedback concerning this new approach. We hope you can join us!
We met our attendance goal each day this week!
Our Daily Goal: 95% attendance building wide
Our average daily attendance at MCE for this past week was:
Tuesday: 95.52%
Wednesday: 96.95%
Thursday: 97.24%
Friday: 95.01%
Montgomery City Elementary is working hard to keep our school wide attendance at 95%. Missing one day, or even one hour of a four day school week is precious learning time lost. In order to promote attendance and its importance we’ve decided to launch an incentive. In partnership with PTO, we are offering a chance at a $25 gift card for perfect attendance throughout the next 20 school days.
Details:
• For each day that a student is at school on time and stays the entire daythey will have their name put in the drawing for the gift card. (This means they could have their name in 20 times)
• Dates of Qualification: October 18th- November 18th
• There will be a $25.00 gift card for each grade level.
• Times that a student must be in school to qualify are 7:50 am till 3:35 pm.
MCE spirit wear sales have started!!
Kiwanis Mini Grants were awarded at the school board meeting.
Thank you for attending the 2nd & 3rd grade performance of "Where the Wild Things Are."
Thank You Officers!

Phone calls to change transportation routes are for Emergencies Only
If you need to make a change to your child’s normal routine you must send a note with your child in the morning. If it is an emergency, you must call and speak to a secretary before 2pm. Do not leave a message on the school answering service. The answering service is to report absences only, and it is not checked throughout the day.
We will not make any changes after 2pm. Our goal is to get every student safely to their correct destination at the end of each day. We need your help to make sure this happens.
