Top 5 Google Chrome Extensions for Education

Remember Google Chrome Extensions? Those things are cool! If you don't know what they are, watch this tiny video (no sound). Don't know how to add them? Here's how.

So what are some great apps from the Chrome web store? For the top five Google Chrome Apps for education, visit this entry on my blog. Also try the IE Simulator for some of the eduphoria! tasks that don't normally work in Chrome.

Creating Mail Groups

If you don't want to read all that text below and you just want to make a mail group, click HERE to see the video but don't blame me later when you're not as Googley as me.

First of all, it's important to know whether your list should be a group or a mail group. Here's the difference:

  • Only YOU can see your mail groups
  • Groups can be used by anyone who has access to them, for example, your campus group is a Group GROUP not a mail group. (I know crazy, but stick with me here.)
  • Mail groups are created through the Stand Alone Contact Manager OR the Contacts drop down in the mail box.
  • Groups are created through the Groups link in the "Black Bar" at the top of your Gmail account.

Once you establish that you really do want to create a mail group, HERE's HOW (click for link to video).

This has nothing to do with anything, but . . .

Did you know you can design your own shoes online now? I know, crazy, right? Here are my Hornet slippers. I am not going to tell you how much they cost because you really will think I'm nuts, but trust me, it will be worth it. They will be LOVELY!
