Thank You
Thank you all for the wondering gifts and goodies. We had a great last couple days of 2015 and we look forward to a short break and getting back in 2016. Take a look at what these 25 students are most looking forward to in 2016. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year. Enjoy your break. I look forward to seeing the kids again on January 4th!

Reading Plus Update
The 5th graders took their mid-year inSight assessment on Monday. I was so impressed that 88% of the students showed growth in areas of reading comprehension and vocabulary! That is fantastic! We will continue to incorporate Reading Plus in our curriculum as the second semester resumes. I am anxious to see the results at the end of the year. I am proud of how hard the kids are working on their reading!
Bandtastic!!
Wow! Can you believe how many minutes these 5th graders have practiced this first semester? Mrs. Beck set a goal of 10,000 minutes and they went way above and beyond that goal. Two weeks ago, their total was 14,813 minutes! Incredible! Congrats to all of the students who earned 500 and 1,000 minute awards!
Bored over Christmas Break?
If you kids complain of having nothing to do (besides practicing their band instrument, of course), send them to this website. I put together a collection of education-based sites that we visit during the school year that will keep their brains at work.
