drugs
The three drugs that i have chosen are three of the most used drugs around the world and the most addictive.
Heroin
a highly addictive analgesic drug derived from morphine, often used illicitly as a narcotic producing euphoria.
Cocaine
an addictive drug derived from coca or prepared synthetically, used as an illegal stimulant and sometimes medicinally as a local anaesthetic.
LSD
a synthetic crystalline compound, lysergic acid diethylamide, which is a powerful hallucinogenic drug.
what drugs do to teens
drugs can affect people in lots of different ways.
- the kind of drug taken
- how much is taken
- how often someone uses it
- how quickly it gets to the brain
- what other drugs, food, or substances are taken at the same time
- the person's body size, shape, and chemistry
Issue
The issue is that there are so many people using drugs from ages 12 and older. The estimated of people using drugs are 27.0 million people aged 12 or older who were current illicit drug users in 2014. Stated another way, 1 in 10 individuals aged 12 or older in the United States used illicit drugs in the past month.
