FACULTY VISITS TO THE SCP
Over the next two weeks, we have scheduled visits from a few of our Faculty Deans and Development fundraisers. We are excited to host them at the SCP, have them present and share accomplishments and unique stories about their respective faculties, and give them a glimpse at the amazing work being done by all of you. They may even hop on the phones to make a call or two themselves!
Come dressed as a well-known profession of your visiting faculty! We will send an email out on the SCP mail list with specific details prior to their visit. Stay tuned!

GIVING TUESDAY CAMPAIGN
Next week the University of Calgary is taking part in a global movement for annual giving and volunteering known as GivingTuesday. As the kickoff to the giving season, it’s a day where charities, companies and individuals join together to share commitments, rally for their favourite causes and think about others. There is no right way to participate as long as it supports generosity and giving. Donate, volunteer time, help a neighbour, or spread the word. GivingTuesday helps teach students, staff and faculty the importance of charitable giving and provides them the opportunity to learn more about philanthropy. It’s a great way to encourage active citizenship and involvement in the UCalgary community.
In Development, we’ll take part in GivingTuesday by encouraging our staff and the university community to take part in sharing our gratitude and thanks for philanthropy. Our goals are to engage the UCalgary communities by building awareness of upcoming campaign and to increase our on-line giving by acquiring new annual donors through social media platforms.
Within the SCP specifically, we ask everyone who is actively uses social media to share quotes as Tweets and Instagram messages, use the hashtags #GivingTuesdayCA and # UCalgarygives
Thanks for participating!!
