Different Types of Government

Republic
Republic is where people elect others to represent them and make decisions. A few countries that use Republic government are: Greenland, Italy, and Argentina.
Totalitarian
Totalitarian is when one party has complete control over many things such as: Attitudes, values and beliefs of its population. Two examples of Totalitarian countries are: North Korea, and Iraq.
Dictatorship
Dictatorship is where there is one person or a little group of people that are leaders and they take over the government. One country that uses Dictatorship government is: Russia.
Democracy
Democracy is when everyone is represented as an equal say. A couple of countries that use this type of government are the United States, and Uruguay.
Monarchy
Monarchy is when there is one ruler of a Country, and the next leader is chose through blood line. Countries like U.K, Sweden, and Norway are countries that use Monarchy government.
Theocracy
Theocracy is where a Government is controlled and based on religion of the controlling group. One country that uses Theocracy government is Iran.
