Autumn, 2016 - Welcome Back Edition
FALL BUSY-NESS
The beginning of year busy-ness is now behind us, and it is smooth sailing ahead:
All is well. The library really is open for regular business now. Contact Carol Forbes to reserve a time to bring your classes to the library: for research, for information literacy lessons, and/or for finding a good book to read.
- The textbooks are checked out
- The library no longer looks like a book warehouse
- SRC books are flying off the shelves
- The seniors have already been trained in how to conduct research for academic, scholarly research
- Soon, the freshmen will be visiting, to learn how to use our print and digital resources

"HELP ME - HELP YOU!" ----- "HELP ME - HELP YOU!"
I just watched Jerry Maquire (again) recently, and I couldn't help but think of all of you guys when I heard this line.
My focus in the job is to always find ways to help support you in the classroom. Here are a few of the ways I can help.
Let me:
- collaborate with you to create lessons for your students that infuse information and digital literacy skills into your curriculum
- find websites that augment your lessons and make them available to your students via our electronic library catalog
- share database articles with you, to help you create research lessons
- provide training for you and/or your students, in the use of databases and various educational media resources
Now, don't start laughing at me like Cuba Gooding did, but, you know...
