The Center for Women at NorthStar
Saturday, August 9th Workshop: “Identity, Womanhood and Purpose: The 7 principles in Isaiah 32”
When: Saturday, August 9th, 2014 from 8:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
Location: The Center for Women at NorthStar, 711 Longtown Road, Columbia, SC 29229
Facilitated by: Stephanie Kirkland
Who am I? What is my purpose as a Christian Woman? These can be some of the most challenging questions in a Christian Woman's life. For many women, our lives have been impacted and defined by the culture, life experiences or decisions we have made on our own about how to define and live out our identity and womanhood. Before we can ever answer these questions, we must purposefully decide to trust and allow God’s purpose and plan for our identity to be reflected through our lives, but this is not always an easy task.
Don’t despair! You are not in this journey alone. Be inspired as we follow the 7 principles laid out in Isaiah 32. You will gain the foundation, information and tools to help you covenant your identity to God and overcome the temptation every woman will face in becoming who she is destined to be.
As Kingdom Women it is NOW our responsibility to discover and connect to God's purpose for our lives!
This event is open to all Center for Women members. Registration required.
Tuesday, August 12th: “Trusting God in the Midst of Your Problems” Teleconference facilitated by Henri Baskins
When: Tuesday, August 12th, 2014 from 6:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
Place: In your pajamas, car, kitchen...wherever you prefer
In our journey as Christian women there will always be bumps along the way. Trials and tribulations are certain to happen. Are you trusting God when troubles occur? Henri Baskins will lead this month’s teleconference using 1 Corinthians 4:18. We will learn about His promises and the Spirit of Wisdom. So, join us wherever you are!
This event is open to all Center for Women members. Must register to participate. You will receive conference call instructions via email.
Tuesday, August 26th: Coffee & Conversation Series
God created us to live out our faith within the context of the body of Christ. The Christian life was not meant to be journeyed alone. Join us for informal, moderated discussions the last Tuesday of every month. Guest speakers will share advice and voice their real stories, speak frankly and even acknowledge their failures.
These events are free and open to all Center for Women members. No RSVP is required. Coffee & Conversation begins at 6:15 pm. and lasts until 7:30 p.m. at The NorthStar Christian Center Small Group House, 817 Longtown Road, Columbia, SC.
