Back to School!
Eric Carle Classroom 2015-2016
Dear Eric Carle Family,
We will start off this new school year with our first study, Family, by learning about one another, our families, and our classroom community.
** If this is your child's first year in the Eric Carle classroom, please sign-up for our Remind texting system that allows the teachers to send a text message to you. This is how we will quickly contact you in case of any emergencies, school closings, or if I need to send out a reminder.
How to Sign Up for the EC Remind Texting System:
- Enter this number: 81010
- Text this message: @ecar
Please bring the following on the first day of school: Tuesday, September 1st
- A family photograph (for our family tree!)
- Two complete sets of clothing (extra clothes are a must in case of accidents, spilled food/drinks, and in case we get a little too messy! Shirts, pants, underwear, and socks, please!)
- A labeled open-top bag. (Reusable grocery bags are the perfect size!)
- A set of sheets: 1 fitted crib sheet and 1 flat crib sheet. (This is your child’s naptime bedding. Due to small cubby space, please do not bring in large blankets, stuffed animals, or sleeping bags. Your child’s sheets will be sent home at the end of each week in their open top bag to be washed and must be brought back each Monday.)
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the school or via email at your convenience! Thank you in advance for your support in your child’s learning!
Your Teacher,
Ms. Lisa
(Lisa Solema)
As we will be learning about you and your family, Ms. Dannie Marie and I would like to tell you a little about ourselves!
Meet Your Teacher: Ms. Lisa
I grew up in Piscataway, NJ and graduated from Rutgers University in 2011. I found my passion for working with children from many years of serving as a Sunday School/Youth Group teacher and volunteering as a camp and retreat counselor. I've even taken a trip to teach English to children in Guatemala!
This is my third year in the Eric Carle classroom at Noah’s Ark and going on my fourth year working with this preschool age group. I absolutely love being with children, watching them grow, and to help support and cultivate the best learning experience for them!
Meet Your T.A.: Ms. Dannie Marie
Ms. Dannie Marie grew up in Old Bridge, New Jersey and graduated from both Rutgers University and Fordham University. She has been living in Los Angeles, California for the past 9 years and has been working as a children’s yoga instructor. She recently moved back to NJ and is ready to share her love for children as she starts her first year at Noah's Ark!
Together, we will work as a team to create a warm and caring environment for your child and do our best to set them up for success so that they leave the class with confidence, an open mind, and a caring heart.
We have planned so many new things for this year and cannot wait for it to begin! :)
