May and June students will enjoy the changing weather and the coming of Spring in our next unit “La Naturaleza” (Nature/the Natural World). Students will learn the names for plants, insects and other features of the natural world. We will take at least one nature walk and identify things we see using the Spanish we’ve learned. This unit prompts students to respond to the questions: “¿Qué es esto?” (What is this?) and the plural counterpart. We will learn a traditional Latin American song, “De Colores," that celebrates the arrival of Spring. Typically we spend the last few classes in June reviewing all the material we’ve learned over the course of the year with games, songs, and fun activities!
