Viewing and Printing Student Report Cards Online
Parents will be able to access report cards online and print them directly from Progress Book on JUNE 4 after 4:00 PM. If a student owes school, lunch, fundraiser, or library fees, parents will be able to view the report card online, but the printing capability will be disabled.
Parents need a Progress Book account in order to view and print student report cards. If you don't have a Parent Progress Book account, you will need to create one for your student. To create an account, parents need a registration key for their student. Registration keys can be requested by emailing kmoore@buckeyeschools.org.
Students may log in to their student progressbook account using the "sign in with Google" button.

Student Summer Device Take Home Program
This year we are revising our Chromebook policy for student devices. First, we recognize that many students continue learning throughout the summer and would benefit from having a Chromebook and access to school online programs. This year, students currently in grades K-11 will be able to take their Chromebook and power cord home for the summer. To use the Chromebook at home, families will need wifi access.
If you would leave the Buckeye district over the summer, please return the device and power cord to the Buckeye School Board Office. All of the normal rules for computer use apply.
Usage notes:
1. Please keep the device charged, do not let it drop below 10%. This will help preserve the battery.
2. If you have an issue with the device during the summer, we will have limited repair services available. Please use the following Google Form to report an issue. https://bit.ly/33mH8lS
Summer repairs will count as part of the 2020-2021 school year technology fee. The fee covers one major and two minor repairs each year. Repairs beyond one major and two minors or repairs caused by animals, liquids, foods, neglect, or vandalism are not covered under the school fee and are the responsibility of the family. If the family is required to pay for a repair, the repair cost will be added to the student's school fees.
3. If you are not going to use your device for a long period of time (several days or a week) you can prepare it for long term storage using the following instructions:
Prepare Chromebook for long-term storage:
Charge your Chromebook so that the battery is at least 80% full.
This ensures that even when the battery discharges while unplugged over the summer, it won’t fully run out of power. To slow the discharge rate during storage, do not physically remove the battery from the Chromebook for storage. Instead, take the following steps:
Connect the device to a charger and turn it on.
Note: If the device charges via a USB-C connector, the charger must be plugged into a USB-C port on the same side as the charging light. You can verify this by confirming that there is an orange charging light on the same side as the charger after you've plugged it in.Hold Refresh and Power at the same time.
While holding these keys, remove the power cable from device and then release the keys.
The device should shut down and remain off.Confirm the battery disconnect worked by pressing the power button.
The device should not power on, despite having a battery charge. The Chromebook won’t power on by touching the power button or opening the lid, until you plug the device back to a power source.
This is the ideal way to store devices. It reduces battery discharge to a minimum, prevents constant charge and discharge from reducing the battery life, and keeps the Chromebook in a stable, powered-off state.
Note: If you can’t put your model of Chromebook into the battery disconnect state described above, charge the battery to at least 80%. Then, turn off the Chromebook, unplug it from a power source, and store it in a cool, dry place.
Get your Chromebook ready for school:
A week before classes resume, get the Chromebook ready for students.
Connect the Chromebook to a charger and a power source.
This will get them out of the battery disconnect state.Power up your devices.
Connect your Chromebook to Wi-Fi and update them to the latest Chrome OS release.
This can take time, as multiple Chrome OS versions might have been released since the last time the device was updated.

Medina County Virtual Learning Academy
Parents of K-8 Students:
We have collaborated with the other Medina County Schools and the Educational Service Center of Medina County to offer a remote learning option for the 2021-22 school year. If you have a student in grades K-8 and you are interested in an online learning option that allows your child to remain a Buckeye Local Schools student, this will be the only option for next school year.
The ESC of Medina County Virtual Learning Academy will provide remote instruction from Medina County teachers with daily asynchronous sessions and a robust curriculum that includes high quality digital resources and print materials to be used at home.
The ESC of Medina County will need a sufficient level of interest from local parents and students to proceed with planning for next year. A confirmed enrollment of at least 20 students per grade level from across the county is needed by May 26. Early registration will ensure your student’s enrollment in the program. Later registration will be available as space permits. If you have decided that your child will learn remotely in 2021-22, please consider registering early with the ESC of Medina County for next year.
