School Reopening Information
Northeast Bradford School District
We will continue to monitor our situation closely. We are pleased that our elementary students are able to return to the classroom full time. We are also hopeful that if all goes well we will also be able to return our High School students to the classroom full time at some point this fall. In the meantime, we are preparing our staff for a Blended Hybrid Learning model where students and their teachers can remain in contact for learning to occur.

Student Packers
- Students who pack lunch will eat in the cafeteria where they can maintain social distancing without a face covering while eating.
Student Buyers
- Students who purchase lunch will eat in the cafeteria and maintain social distancing without a face covering while eating. Our gymnasiums may be utilized as needed to maintain social distancing.

- Parents are being asked to conduct Daily COVID-19 screenings and temperature checks* in the morning at home prior to boarding the bus or arriving at school.
- Students will be permitted to bring refillable bottles to school. Traditional water fountains have been replaced with contactless bottle filling stations.
- Students and staff will be required to wear a face-covering consistent with the requirements from the Pennsylvania Department of Health anytime 6 feet of distancing are not able to be consistently maintained. Some classrooms depending on the enrollment will be able to achieve 6 feet of distancing. Face coverings requirements have several options that allow for student comfort. The school district will have some face-covering options available, however, parents are encouraged to provide a face-covering that is comfortable for your child.
- Face coverings options include but are not limited to masks, neck gaiters, scarfs, face shields, and shields that attach to hats. Hats will be allowed this year when used in conjunction with a shield that attaches to the brim.
* The daily screenings are simply a check and confirmation that your child does not exhibit any COVID-19 symptoms( fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, sore throat, runny nose, congestion, chills, lack of smell or taste, muscle pain, nausea/vomiting, headache, diarrhea, or temperature in excess of 100 degrees).
Attendance:
We recognize that it will be critical to the health of the entire school and community to make sure students stay home if they are displaying any symptoms of potentially being sick. If a student stays home and participates in class remotely, that day will not be considered absent. This policy will be explained in more detail as the school year draws closer.
