Follow DHEC guidelines for appropriate Tdap administration. You must provide the nurse with a valid immunization record showing the Tdap vaccination prior to starting 7th grade. Students will not receive their schedules without this requirement or official exemption form. Parents do not have to wait until 7th grade. Children as young as seven years old may be vaccinated. COVID-19 Reminders

  • Remember that wearing a mask is required for all students and staff when entering and exiting the building. Whenever six feet of social distancing cannot be maintained, masks will be worn inside the classroom. Masks will also be worn during transitions from class to class.
  • Remember that social distancing of at least six feet is critically important. DHEC requires an exclusion from school for 10-14 days for anyone who tests positive for COVID and all close contacts.
  • Close contacts are defined as individuals who spend at least 15 cumulative minutes within six feet of a person while he/she is contagious with COVID. This requirement is not impacted by wearing masks; so even if individuals wear a mask and do not socially distance, they will be excluded from school/work. Individuals with COVID are believed to be contagious for up to 48 hours before they develop symptoms or test positive (if asymptomatic).
  • Students with symptoms of COVID-19 should be excluded from school if they have any one of the following with or without fever:

    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing -or-
    • Loss of taste or smell -or-
    • New or worsening cough

Correct Address Information

As we are preparing for the registration for 2021-2022, it is important that we have your correct address information on file. This information determines the school your student will attend next year. In addition, final reports cards are mailed at the end of the school year to the address we have on file. All address changes require proper documentation to be presented to the school.

If you have moved or will be moving, please contact our school registrar, Kathy Monaghan, for additional information at 864-355-6774.

Levels of Protection

Mauldin Middle School and Greenville County Schools use multiple layers of protection and prevention to keep our students and staff members safe while at school. Please take a moment to look over the attachments below for more information.

Student IDs and Temporary IDs

Students are required to wear their school issued picture ID everyday while on campus. If a student doesn’t have their school issued ID, they will be given a yellow temporary sticker ID for the day.

Each quarter, a student will be given 4 temporary ID’s without penalty. Upon receiving their 5th temporary ID, the student will serve a half day of In School Suspension (ISS). Upon the receipt of their 10th temporary ID, the student will be assigned 1 full day of ISS. Record of temporary ID’s will be reset at the start of each quarter.

New picture ID’s can be purchased in the Media Center for $5.00.

Transportation 2021-2022

In preparation for 2021-2022, we need to know if your child's transportation method will change for the new school year. If the method of transportation IS going to change, we need you to complete the form below and return it to Mrs. Kathy Monaghan at Mauldin Middle as soon as possible. This applies to current virtual and brick-and-mortar students. If the transportation method IS NOT going to change for next year, you do not need to complete the form. Contact Mrs. Monaghan at 355-6774 or if you have questions.

Early Dismissals

If your student is going to have an early dismissal from school, please make sure you send a note in with your student that morning. The note should state the time and reason for dismissal. These notes are given to our attendance clerk first thing in the morning. If you send a note in the morning of the early dismissal, the process is much quicker when you arrive to pick up your student.

Do you need a gift for your student?

We have MMS water bottles and neck gaiters that make perfect gifts for the Mustang in your family! You can order these online through My School Bucks. Once ordered, we can send them home with students OR parents can pick them up in the front office if you want the gift to be a surprise. This is a great opportunity to show our Mustang pride!
