Snow and Cold Days in 2021

If emergency days are needed during the 2020-21 school year due to snow or extreme cold, District 140 will transition to remote learning for all students, teachers, and support staff. Families will receive notification of an emergency remote learning day via a phone/email/text message and an alert will be posted on our District website. Student assignments will be posted in Seesaw and Google Classroom.

The District can use up to five (5) emergency remote learning days in lieu of making days up at the end of the school year or having students attend school on holidays.

Save the Date!

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION for the 2021-22 SCHOOL YEAR will open ONLINE beginning Wednesday, March 10, 2021. To attend school in the fall of 2021, children must be five (5) years old on or before September 1, 2021.

Current D140 parents/guardians can complete the registration process through their Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Families new to the District will follow the New D140 Family registration link once it opens on our website.

Please visit ksd140.org to review the documents needed to prove residency in District 140.

IDPH Vaccine Information

Based on preliminary guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), Illinois released their COVID-19 Vaccination Plan.

Please visit the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) website to review vaccine information, including data, distribution phases, and a Q&A section.

D140 COVID-19 Dashboard

D140's COVID-19 Dashboard provides the community with current information regarding districtwide positive COVID-19 cases and quarantine information. It will be updated each Friday by 10:00 am.

Our goal is to remain open for in-person learning as long as our metrics stay low and we have the staff to do so. If an Adaptive Pause is needed, we will communicate the date we will begin fully remote learning to families through our Infinite Campus messaging system. Please make sure your contact information is correct in your Parent Portal. Additional information will also be posted on our District and school websites.
