Welcome to February!
February is busy! And an extra day long this year. Like, why can't we get a Leap day in like May or September, one of the nice weather months?! February is home to a lot of fun celebrations including, but not limited to:
- Adopt a rescued rabbit month - I mean rabbits are great?
- International Boost Self-Esteem Month - You all are great!
- Library Lovers Month - Ruth Ost's National Holiday
- National Haiku Writing Month - I promise you at least one haiku this month
- National Snack Food Month - what's your fave?
- Pull Your Sofa Off the Wall Month - I mean what is it even doing on your wall?

We want your Zines for a show in the Honors Lounge!
Have you made your own zine? Do you want to make a zine? A zine, short for "magazine," is "small-circulation self-published work of original or appropriated texts and images, usually reproduced via photocopier." In our increasingly digital world, there's something special about being able to hand someone a handmade copy of your art, and I'm looking to honor (ha) that in the next exhibit in the Honors Lounge. Contact Maggie for more info (magswag@temple.edu / 609-477-9860) By February 1st.

Global Studies Academic Journal Submissions!
The Global Studies Society is excited to introduce Mundi, Temple's first globally themed academic journal. GSS is looking for submissions of any research or otherwise academic paper which pertains to one of the following: Global Cultures, Global Economy, or Global Security. Global Studies capstone papers are accepted and will be specially featured. All College of Liberal Arts majors are welcome to apply! If you are outside of CLA and would still like to submit a piece, shoot us an email with your paper topic and why you believe it should be featured. This journal is peer-reviewed by the GSS 2019-2020 editorial board, and all papers will be reviewed after the submission date (no rolling submissions).
Submissions are due February 10th. Prospective contributors will have about 2 weeks to review and re-submit based on suggestions and/or edits if chosen for publication. If selected, your piece(s) will be published in April of 2020. Your paper must not be published in or submitted to other Temple University journals for review.
